WAEC release May/June 2026 WASSCE results – check here

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for the 2026 candidates.

Out of the $1,950,726$ candidates who sat for the examination in Nigeria, $1,834,695$ – or $94.05% – have had their results completely processed and published, according to Dr. Amos Dangut, Head of the Nigeria National Office. He noted that the remaining $116,031$ candidates ($5.95%$) have one or more subject grades pending, but promised those will be made available shortly.

Breaking down student performance, Dangut revealed that $1,687,378$ students ($86.50%) earned credits in at least five subjects regardless of English and Mathematics. Meanwhile, $1,200,514$ students ($61.54%) secured a minimum of five credits including both English Language and Mathematics.

This update follows a brief delay by WAEC, which had temporarily put back the release date citing operational adjustments.

How to Check Your 2026 WASSCE Results?

1. Go to the official result checker at https://www.waecdirect.org/.
2. Input your 10-digit Examination Number.
3. Choose 2026 as the examination year.
4. Pick SCHOOL CANDIDATES under the examination type.
5. Provide your Card Serial Number and PIN.
6. Press Submit to display your result.
