Alejandro Garnacho leaves Chelsea for Aston Villa

Aston Villa has secured Argentina international Alejandro Garnacho from Chelsea on a year-long loan deal that includes a conditional requirement to buy.

The 22-year-old winger heads to Villa Park to bolster Unai Emery’s squad following a tough stint at Chelsea. After arriving at Stamford Bridge from Manchester United for roughly £40 million last summer, Garnacho found regular starting spots hard to come by under manager Xabi Alonso, finishing the campaign with eight goals across 43 matches.

Reason why Aston Villa needed the services of Alejandro Garnacho?

Villa targeted the dynamic attacker to add speed, flair, and directness to their front line – especially after losing Morgan Rogers to Chelsea in a separate high-profile transfer. Emery expressed strong optimism about the signing, believing Garnacho’s drive and raw ability will add vital depth for the upcoming campaign.

Should Garnacho meet specific performance milestones during his spell at Villa, the Birmingham club will be required to sign him permanently, officially closing his short chapter in West London.
