Latest on Kai Havertz injury

Share

Arsenal supporters have been dealt a significant blow following the news that Kai Havertz has been ruled out for the remainder of February 2026. The German international reportedly sustained a new muscular injury, a frustrating setback considering his recent form. Since returning to action on January 12, Havertz had been finding his rhythm, netting three goals in just six appearances.

A Pattern of Setbacks

This latest hurdle comes only a month after Kai Havertz recovered from a serious knee injury that cost him the entire first half of the 2025–26 campaign. His luck with fitness has been poor since last year, as he also missed a large portion of the previous season’s closing stages due to a torn hamstring.

The Impact: Missed Fixtures

Havertz was absent for the league clash against Brentford and is confirmed to miss the upcoming Premier League fixture against Wolves. Additionally, he will be unavailable for the FA Cup fourth-round tie against Wigan Athletic and, most crucially, the North London derby against Tottenham.

The Silver Lining and Title Implications

Fortunately, this muscular issue is not believed to be as severe as his prior injuries. The current target for his return is the March 1st showdown against Chelsea. Nevertheless, his absence is a major headache for Arsenal’s title ambitions, particularly as the squad is already reeling from Mikel Merino’s season-ending injury.
