Arsenal vs Liverpool – Preview, Prediction, Team News, Head-2-Head (h2h), Correct Score Prediction, Formation, Lineups & Current Form.

High-flying Arsenal face Liverpool at the Emirates this Thursday, looking to tighten their grip on the top spot. After a brilliant start to the season, the Gunners are ready to avenge their narrow August loss to Arne Slot’s side.

Liverpool may be out of the title hunt, but with Champions League spots on the line, they aren’t going down without a fight. Their recent unbeaten run hasn’t been pretty, but they remain a dangerous opponent.

Coming off a 4–1 thrashing of Aston Villa, Arsenal’s confidence is sky-high. If Liverpool wants to avoid another bruising defeat, they’ll need to fix their shaky defense and set-piece vulnerabilities immediately.

Liverpool’s title hopes are gone, but Arsenal can take a massive step toward the trophy by securing three points midweek.

Arsenal Team News

Arsenal’s injury concerns are fading at the ideal moment, leaving Mikel Arteta with nearly a full squad to choose from. Currently, only Max Dowman, Cristhian Mosquera, and Riccardo Calafiori remain out of action.

Defensively, the Gunners will likely field Piero Hincapié at left-back, a defender once on Liverpool’s radar. He will be flanked by a formidable backline consisting of Jurriën Timber on the right and the established central duo of Gabriel and William Saliba.

Further forward, Declan Rice is fully fit and firing after his brace against Bournemouth last weekend. After a brief spell on the bench, Bukayo Saka is also expected to return to the starting lineup to lead the attack alongside his fellow countryman.

Liverpool Team News

Hugo Ekitiké is a major doubt for Thursday’s match after missing training on Wednesday. With Alexander Isak already out long-term, losing Ekitiké would leave Arne Slot desperately thin on options up front.

Liverpool’s firepower is further diminished by Mohamed Salah’s absence at the Africa Cup of Nations, while injuries continue to keep Wataru Endo and Giovanni Leoni off the pitch.

The Reds’ lineup hinges almost entirely on Ekitiké’s status. If he cannot play, Slot will likely field the same team that faced Fulham, with the only probable change being the introduction of Jeremie Frimpong on the right flank.

Arsenal vs Liverpool Correct Score Prediction

A lot has changed since Liverpool eked out a win in August thanks to Szoboszlai’s stunning free kick. Since then, the Reds have endured an unexpected slump, looking like a shadow of the team that lifted the trophy, while Arsenal have hit their stride and never looked back.

With home-field advantage and a squad brimming with confidence, the Gunners are the heavy favorites for this Thursday night showdown. It is difficult to see anything other than a dominant performance from the league leaders.

Liverpool’s shaky record against set plays could be their downfall against a team as clinical as Arsenal. Combined with a general lack of defensive discipline and a depleted front line, the visitors face an uphill battle to even challenge the league’s best defense. This has all the makings of a straightforward victory for Mikel Arteta’s men.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool
