Manchester City has officially announced a new long-term deal for academy product Phil Foden, securing his presence at the Etihad Stadium through the summer of 2030.

The four-year agreement solidifies City’s long-term reliance on one of their most successful homegrown talents, putting an end to lingering rumors regarding his future. Having risen through the youth ranks before earning his first-team debut in 2017, the England international voiced his joy at extending his journey with his childhood team.

Phil Foden Under Enzo Maresca

Despite a challenging year by the club’s lofty standards, Foden expressed enthusiasm about developing under manager Enzo Maresca and emphasized that the group’s drive remains untouched:

“I am delighted to extend my stay at this incredible club. Manchester City is my home, and I’m excited about what we can achieve together in the years ahead. Everyone here is hungry for more success, and I want to help the team win even more trophies.”

A Proven Winner Ready to Bounce Back

At 26, Foden has already crossed the milestone of 400 appearances for the Blues, building an extraordinary trophy collection that includes:

  • 6 Premier League titles
  • 1 UEFA Champions League
  • 3 FA Cups
  • Multiple domestic cups and honors

While a difficult 2025–26 campaign led to his omission from England’s World Cup squad, Manchester City remains fully confident that Foden will serve as a central figure in their upcoming campaign.
