As part of this temporary transition, chairmen, board-appointed directors, and chief executive officers across these leagues must transfer their administrative duties to their respective Chief Operating Officers (COOs), who are NFF staff members.
If a league’s current COO is not an NFF employee, the federation’s Acting General Secretary will assign a replacement to assume the post. These widespread measures arrive during a period of volatility for domestic football and indicate a significant overhaul of how the local game is governed.
