How to Check admission status on JAMB CAPS – See details

Share

The JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) portal for the 2026/2027 session is currently live. Applicants can track their admission status directly through the JAMB CAPS platform. Upon receiving an admission, candidates must take immediate action by either accepting or declining the offer.

Higher institutions have commenced uploading their official admission records to the portal. Because several universities and polytechnics do not post admission lists on their campus notice boards or official websites, checking JAMB CAPS remains the sole method for many candidates to verify their status. It is strongly recommended to review your portal regularly to avoid missing important deadlines.

Step-by-Step Guide to Accessing Admission status on JAMB CAPS

  1. Go to the official portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/ and log in using your registered email and password.
  2. Select Check Admission Status.
  3. Choose Access my CAPS.
  4. Click on Admission Status to view your current standing.

Understanding Your Result & Taking Action

  • If Admitted: A congratulatory notice featuring your profile photograph will appear.
  • If Not Yet Admitted: The system will display “Sorry No Admission has been Given Yet.”
  • Accepting or Rejecting the Offer: Send ACCEPT or REJECT via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the mobile number tied to your profile. If you no longer have access to that phone number, visit an accredited JAMB center to complete the process manually.
  • Timeline: Candidates are granted a 4-week window from the date of the offer to respond.
  • Next Steps: After accepting an offer, print out your official JAMB admission letter, as it will be mandatory during institutional clearance and enrollment.

Mobile User Tip: Browsing on a smartphone may initially display only a generic welcome message. To reveal the full dashboard, open Google Chrome, tap the browser menu (three dots), and select Request Desktop Site.
