Marcus Rashford secures a permanent deal at Barcelona

Barcelona is on the verge of finalizing a permanent move for Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford ahead of the Summer 2026 window. Since arriving on loan in July 2025, the English forward has impressed the Catalan giants enough for them to move forward with activating his €30 million purchase clause.

Contract and Personal Terms

Personal terms are already locked in, with Rashford reportedly committing to a three-year deal. To ensure the move fits within La Liga’s strict financial landscape, the forward has shown his commitment to the project by agreeing to a significant salary reduction.

How many goals have Marcus Rashford scored for Barcelona?

Rashford’s impact in Spain has been immediate. He has already racked up 23 combined goals and assists across all competitions this season. This resurgence has seen him surpass the 19 goal contributions he managed during his split 2024/25 campaign between Manchester United and Aston Villa.

Adapting to Flick’s System

At 28, Rashford appears to have found his stride in Hansi Flick’s tactical setup. His ability to both clinical finish and provide for others has made him an indispensable part of Barça’s long-term vision. Once the final financial paperwork is cleared, his decade-plus association with Manchester United will officially come to an end.
