Bayern Munich has reportedly submitted the first transfer bid for Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku.

As confirmed by football insider Fabrizio Romano, talks are underway for a potential move that could see the French international return to return back to Germany just one year after his transfer to the Premier League. Bayern views Christopher as a top transfer target due to his versatility, which allows him to play across multiple attacking positions.

The the 26-year-old familiarity with the Bundesliga, where he previously excelled with RB Leipzig, is a significant factor in Bayern’s interest. The success of the deal will likely depend on the transfer fee. The blues, who paid around €60 million for him last summer, are expected to demand a substantial amount despite his injury-plagued debut season at Stamford Bridge.

Simons Transfer Hinges on Nkunku Deal

Chelsea’s potential move for Xavi Simons is linked to the outcome of the Christopher Nkunku transfer. According to recent updates, the Blues are planning to finalize the Dutch forward’s transfer only after Nkunku’s sale is complete.

This strategy, however, could be complicated by the fact that Manchester City has also shown interest in Simons, setting up a potential bidding war for the talented player.
