Ipswich Town F.C.

Established in 1878 as an amateur side, Ipswich Town F.C transitioned to professional status in 1936 before securing election to the Football League two years later. The club enjoyed a golden era in English and European football during the mid-to-late 20th century. In their debut top-flight campaign in 1961–62, they claimed the First Division championship title, later finishing as league runners-up in both 1980–81 and 1981–82.

Along with a decade-long stretch of top-six league finishes, Ipswich captured major silverware by winning the 1978 FA Cup and the 1981 UEFA Cup. Notably, the club holds a legendary continental record: they have never been defeated at home in European competition, maintaining an unbeaten home run against giants such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Lazio.
