Authorities are investigating a serious gun threat made against Tottenham Hotspur star Destiny Udogie.

The Tottenham Hotspur defender was allegedly threatened with a gun by a football agent back in September, a story that first became public via Italian media this week. In response, the Metropolitan Police confirmed a call on Saturday, September 6th, leading to the arrest of a 31-year-old man two days later.

He was detained on suspicion of blackmail, driving without a license, and possession of a firearm with intent. The suspect has since been released on bail while the investigation proceeds. Police also noted that a second man was allegedly blackmailed and threatened by the same suspect.

This high-profile incident aligns with Udogie recent decision to switch representation to Elite Project Group – the agency for stars like Bukayo Saka and Jadon Sancho.

While reports initially suggested the move was to facilitate a new contract, speculation now links the traumatic London incident as a possible factor in his decision to change agents.
