21 Savage, who spent a week in custody of the ICE was released after he was arrested for violating US Immigration rules.
Since his release, good number of music lovers have been buzzing to have a medium to ask the rapper what his ordeal was like in the hands of the Immigration officers.
In his statement, 21 Savage explained that he was targed by the ICE officers. Meanwhile, he will be doing his first post-release interview with Good Morning America this morning.
The rapper will be discussing his arrest, the detainment center he was at as well as a 77-year-old man he met inside of the detention center who he said he wants to help get into a retirement home, according to Complex.
“I don’t even know,” Savage said in response to what happened when he was arrested. “I was just driving and I just seen guns and blue lights. And then I was in the back of a car and I was gone,” he recalled. “They didn’t say nothing. [They] said, ‘We got Savage.’”
Adding, “I was definitely targeted.”
